We provide a full range of medical and surgical services, including annual skin exams, skin cancer screenings, biopsies, excisions, acne management and treatment of warts, moles, and rashes. Under the care and supervision of one of our medical practitioners, you will receive a thorough examination, education about your condition, and an explanation of treatment options. Your dermatologist will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan to meet your skin care needs.

Our practice uses a state-of-the-art electronic medical record (EMR) system that allows our team of physicians, nurses and administrative staff to communicate efficiently and collaborate effectively. This allows us to focus on what we do best, which is providing a high level of care to our patients.

Medical Dermatology

skin cancer
Our dermatologists examine your entire skin surface from your scalp to your toes, searching for suspicious growths, moles, and other lesions. Our practitioners will review your complete medical history to identify skin cancer risk factors and guide treatment recommendations.

What to expect during your skin cancer screening >

acne management
Acne affects approximately two-thirds of individuals. It is most common in teenagers, but can affect all ages. Acne most commonly occurs on the face but may also erupt on the chest, back, neck and shoulders.
wart therapy
Warts are caused by a virus called the human papillomavirus (HPV). Multiple strains exist, are contagious and cause small or large, smooth or rough growths, that can appear anywhere on the skin surface.
mole evaluation
Moles consist of nests of melanocytes—the pigment producing cells in the skin. Moles exist on almost every individual and can occur anywhere on the body including the scalp, lips, nails and soles.
rash evaluation
Rash is a generalized, non-medical term that refers to irritation or discoloration of the skin. The causes of and treatments for rashes vary.
cysts
Cysts are common skin bumps that can occur anywhere on the body. Pilar cysts, also referred to as trichilemmal cysts or wens, are most commonly found on the scalp.
allergy patch testing

Patch testing is generally done to see whether a particular substance is causing allergic skin irritation (contact dermatitis). Patch tests can detect delayed allergic reactions, which can take several days to develop.

Patch tests don’t use needles. Instead, allergens are applied to patches, which are then placed on your skin. During a patch test, your skin may be exposed to 20 to 30 extracts of substances that can cause contact dermatitis. These can include latex, medications, fragrances, preservatives, hair dyes, metals and resins.

You wear the patches on your back for 48 hours. During this time, you should avoid bathing and activities that cause heavy sweating. The patches are removed when you return to your doctor’s office. Irritated skin at the patch site may indicate an allergy.

surgical Dermatology

Malignant Excision

Your physician can surgically remove benign and malignant skin lesions in the office. The procedure involves local anesthesia and your doctor will determine the best way to remove and suture your skin to minimize the scar and give you the best cosmetic result.

Benign lesions that can be excised: Moles, Lipomas, Cysts, birthmarks, Glandular growths

Malignant lesions: Basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas where Mohs surgery is not indicated, Melanoma, malignant glandular tumors

All our dermatologists are trained to perform straightforward excisions. Any excision that is more complicated, on a cosmetically sensitive area of the body, or needs a more significant repair or reconstruction will be referred to one of our Mohs surgeons.
